There are three classes, the Informal Class, the Certificate Class and the Diploma Class.
The Informal Class is a three month training with no entry requirements. The Certificate Class is a one year course and the minimum entry requirement is a good Malawi Junior Certificate of Examination (JCE). The Diploma course is a one year course and the entry requirement is a pass in the Certificate Class. The entrance exams for the Certificate Class take place in December every year and classes start the following January. For the Informal Class there are three intakes per year; January to April, May to July and September to December
